My Journey into Wildlife Photography
My journey into wildlife photography began with frequent visits to the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in 2008, hoping to catch a glimpse of the majestic tiger. Despite several trips, luck wasn’t on my side, and the elusive predator remained unseen. The passion for the wild, however, kept me returning to nature, captivated by the thrill of the chase and the serenity of the forests. It wasn’t until 2011, during a visit to the Mota Sal area of Corbett National Park, that I experienced my first tiger sighting. Ironically, I didn’t even have a point-and-shoot camera with me to capture the moment, but the sight of the regal cat left an unforgettable imprint on my heart.
That breathtaking encounter ignited a profound love for tigers that has only grown stronger over the last 13 years. The raw power, grace, and mystique of the apex predator have made it my favourite subject in wildlife photography. Since that life-changing moment, I have continued exploring forests across the country, striving to document these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Each sighting fuels my admiration, deepening my connection with nature and the conservation of this iconic species. Tigers remain at the heart of my wildlife journey, inspiring every frame I capture to this day.
